There are times when, I'll admit, I'll look at one of these
cancellations, and wonder if there have actually been any
hearings at all. Seems like they're always getting postponed
or delayed or something. I guess the urgency for SCO to
return to their former glory has been overstated just a
smidge...

Unlikely that any be needed .. but you never know.
Good to summarize in title when possible.

Just how many times can they postpone the hearings before the Judge orders them
to, "Fish or cut bait!" ;^)
Is there a limit? I have to wonder how much of the court's money is wasted each
time the hearing is scheduled, and then postponed![ Reply to This | # ]

Someone wants the confusion of this sale for some reason.
If it was just a matter of providing more money to drag out SCO
litigation even further, then anyone who wanted to do that could
easily just BUY SCO PRODUCTS. And we may have already
seen some of that with MS, although that kind of backfired on
SCO, because they sold something they should not have.
But there are certainly things that SCO can sell and would be
quite ordinary for SCO to sell. Anyone who wanted to funnel in
more money to keep litigation going could just buy SCO products.
So someone wants the added confusion that this sale provides.
I wonder if having SCO being practically penniless now, is a
way of 'encouraging' Gross to allow the sale to go through
despite various objections of Novell and others. The urgency
of SCO's situation can cover a multitude of sins.
SCO now needs additional time to figure out a way to address
the objections enough to get Gross to sign off, without actually
fixing all the problems.

Isn't this the 6th time in a row?
Can't the creditors object to the postponement?
